To Celebrate the Marriage of Karen and Ian

14th June 2019

Dearly beloved, as they often say,

We are gathered here, at last, today.

For it’s taken Karen and Ian twenty-five years,

To have finally got their act into gears.

Our two best friends have got it together

To get themselves wed, whatever the weather.

In a big white marquee full of ribbons and bows,

We will watch two become one from head down to toes.

We’re celebrating in true Yorkshire style,

With family and friends who’ve been waiting a while.

Ian, Ben and Connor decked out in blue suits

With matching smiles, and look, matching boots.

As for the bride, she looks stunning in cream

And it’s so good to see them living their dream.

Karen and Ian, from this day and on to the end of time,

We hope that for you the sun will always shine.
