We were never meant to last

I was listening to an Annie Lennox song and came up with the idea for this short punchy poem using rhyme within each three line stanza to see if it would flow. It’s a poem that was simply an exercise in poetry writing and didn’t take long to get to the first draft, with some tweaking afterwards to finalise it.
